We are with you through every step of the admissions process, assisting with a variety of details including: campus visits, application proofreading, essay critiques and coaching effective interviewing techniques to help your child prepare for the application process.
Traditional Boarding School
A traditional boarding school is a residential private school with its own designed curriculum focused on college preparation (hence the term “prep” or “preparatory” appearing in many of their names). Traditional boarding schools offer a vast array of opportunities to engage academically, socially and athletically.
Specialty Boarding School
A specialty boarding school can be organized around a particular ethos (i.e. military, single-sex, experiential, post-graduate) or can be targeted to serve specific needs (for students with social deficits). Specialty boarding schools offer more specialized instruction to target the needs of their specific niche.
Learning Disability (LD) Boarding Schools
Learning Disability Boarding Schools specialize in addressing specific learning disabilities and difficulty with executive functioning. LD schools are equipped to work with diagnoses such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia and ADD/ADHD. These schools have proficient, highly credentialed staff to help their students realize their potential.
Many boarding schools offer summer programs specifically designed to serve targeted populations. Schools may offer programs that focus on academic enrichment, extra-curricular opportunities, English as a Second Language (ESL), sport-focused opportunities or credit recovery.
